Biographical history
Morris Oberman (1900-1987) was born in Russia but moved to Palestine at a young age. In 1918 he was an early volunteer with the Jewish Legion in Palestine under Vladimir Jabotinsky. After the war ended, Oberman moved to Canada where he met his future wife, Judith Barslavsky. They were involved in the Labour Zionist movement with her husband. In 1987 they were honoured by the Labour Zionist Alliance for their commitment and work for the Jewish National Fund and other Zionist activities.

Judith (nee Barslavsky, 1902-2000), born in Russia, was active in the Pioneer Women as well as the Labour Zionist movement with her husband, Morris Oberman. In 1987 they were honoured by the Labour Zionist Alliance for their commitment and work for the Jewish National Fund and other Zionist activities.
Judith's brothers were well-known scholars: Moshe Braslavsky was a historian, while Yosef was a geographer.
