              The Collection contains, correspondence, research notes, photographs, negatives, museum catalogues, magazines, manuscripts and news clippings related to life and work of Alexander Bercovitch as well as the research and publication of "The Life and Work of Alexander Bercovitch - Artist" by Robert Adams. The material predominently focuses on the years 1987-1988, during which Adams was researching, writing and publishing his book.

              Contains photographs from an exhibition of paintings (Samuel Lapitsky Collection) at the Jewish Public Library, featuring Lapitsky and other board members. Also includes copies of invitation to exhibition which offers details about the paintings and exhibition events, as well as newspaper articles (Hebrew and English) pertaining to the event.

              The fonds contains materials pertaining to Samuel Lapitsky's life, with an emphasis on his relationship to the Jewish Public Library. This includes records surrounding a dinner honouring Lapitsky at the Jewish Public Library in 1955, in the form of newspaper announcements, telegrams, photographs, dedications, and programs. Likewise, photographs of and programs for the Samuel Lapitsky Collection exhibition of paintings at the Jewish Public Library in 1956 are contained in the fonds. A number of other certificates and dedications acknowledging Lapitsky's support can be found in the fonds, as well as information pertaining to the Samuel Lapitsky Scholarship at McGill University.

              Some personal records, including portraits of Samuel Lapitsky, family members, and classmates, as well as Lapitsky's and his wife Rose's passports and registration, can be found in the fonds. Finally, a series of photographs (and copies of photographs) from Itzik Feffer and Solomon Mikhoels' visit to North America with the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee are also included.
