Abraham and Ginda Rosenblatt Fonds contains material regarding the personal and professional lives of Ginda and Abraham Rosenblatt. The fonds consists of correspondence, the writings of Abraham Rosenblatt, official documents and ephemera. Inlcuded within the fonds are some of Abraham Rosenblatt's published articles which appear to largely be published anonymously or under the pen name A. Besarbier.

Contains photographs, reel to reel audio, cassette audio and textual documents related to the organizational activities of Abraham Trapunski. The bulk of the Abraham Trampunski papers focus on his involvement with the Vilna and Vicinity Association. Most of the papers in the collection range from 1953 - 1980, when he apeears to have been most active in these associations. Other prominent institutions include The Canadian Jewish Congress, YIVO and the Montreal Yiddish Committee.

The fonds is comprised of biographical information on Asher Pierce, including obituaries, biographies, and copies of newspaper articles, several pieces of correspondence, a photo album featuring photographs from the opening of the Gan Chaim orange plantation in Palestine, and a single photograph of Ella Pierce.

The Baron Byng 50th Anniversary Collection includes a yearbook produced for a Baron Byng 50th anniversary reunion, a t-shirt produced for the anniversary, a photograph and ribbon from the 1948 graduating class party, a copy of a speech given at a reunion of Baron Byng students, and two photographs taken of the outside of the school building in 1980.

The Fonds consists of correspondence, photographs and ephemera related to the war time relationship and marriage of Nathan and Ruth Benditsky. The material focuses predominently on the years 1945 and 1946, during which the couple organizes their Manchester wedding and arranges Ruth's eventual immigration to Canada.

The fonds contains materials relating to Beverly Shaffer's filmmaking career spanning from her earlier education through to her retirement, the bulk of which reflect her time as a salaried director with the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), where Shaffer directed documentary films tackling issues like family relationships, women's rights, disability, and abuse.

The bulk of the fonds comprises research, correspondence, and other materials like scripts and budgets for potential film projects. Materials from shoots underway--including correspondence, schedules, and other related records--as well as post-production records including press releases and educational materials, can also be found in the fonds.

Numerous awards within the fonds, including certificates (textual) and physical awards (objects), reflect Shaffer's successes in film festivals around the world from the 1970s through the 2000s. Notably, a subseries is dedicated to her Oscar win at the 1978 Academy Awards for the Children of Canada series instalment "I'll Find a Way"--including many photographs, newspaper articles, letters of congratulations, and even sound recordings of coworkers' reactions to the win.

The fonds contains copies of most of Shaffer's films, mostly as reels and videotapes but including several DVDs. This includes the Children of Jerusalem and Children of Canada series, as well as many other documentary short films directed by Shaffer and footage of several interviews. Numerous photographs of cast and crew during and after filming--in the form of prints, slides, and negatives--can also be found in the fonds.

Fonds consists of five Jewish Public Library Bulletins with mentions of Josephine Bloom, from 1973, 1975, 1980, 1987, and 1989, as well as as Faerman Library bookmark designed by Miriam Bloom, an exhibition bookmark for one of Miriam's exhibits, and a letter of condolences from Eva Raby upon Josephine's death, as well as composite photographs for both Louis and Josephine's high school graduation, both from Baron Byng.

The Fonds contains a large amount of correspondence received by Mr. and Mrs. Ravitch from C. Grober, possibly indicating that all or part of the Fonds was first collected by them prior to donation.
