Orthodox rabbi and author, Simon Glazer was born in Kaunas, Lithuania. Glazer was chief rabbi of the United Synagogues of Montreal and Quebec City before moving to the United States. He was also involved in the founding of the Montreal Yiddish language newspaper, the Keneder Adler.
