History
Reuben Ginsberg was born in Cardiff, Wales, ca. 1903, and emigrated to Montreal as a child. He stowed away with the Canadian Expeditionary Force to fight in World War I, before being discharged in 1916. Reuben married Betty Bambiger and both were involved with Temple Emanu-El, Reuben as a teacher and Betty the Sisterhood and Book Lover's Forum. Reuben's sister Anna and her husband Josef Aron founded the Temple Emanu-El's Museum of Jewish Ceremonial Art Objects (now Aron Museum) in 1953.
