This series consists of portraits of Yemeni Jews photographed during Operation Magic Carpet. Also known as Operation on the Wings of Eagles, this operation saw the large-scale immigration of Yemeni Jews to Israel via American and British transport planes.

These photographs and portraits were taken by Gerry Sternberg ca. 1949-50 and kept in a photo album owned by Abraham Rother.
